02:10 am - oh yeah
and i watched an inconvenient truth today. content aside -- only al gore could make a movie about the apocalypse boring. and i was surprised how self-centered it was; i guess the slideshow wasn't long enough and they needed to fill time? no one cares about how your dad taught you to farm tobacco, dude, get back to how we are all doomed!

i've tried to read about global warming, but i don't know anything. it seems like one of those arguments where neither side really gives a shit what the other is saying; they just bat at strawmen, repeat themselves, avoid ever actually addressing what the other side is saying, and hope public opinion will just sway over to them.
state: chilly. IRONIC?

I like that fact that he made the movie and said what needed to be said, but aside from that, he made claims about how these were the hottest years ever, which just isn't true. Also, I remember he had other data wrong too ( but Id have to see the movie again to tell you exactly what). And then he tried to make us all regret the fact that he lost to bush. He pretty much came out and said "if I were preident right now we wouldn't be doomed". What do I know anyways, he did invent the internet afterall.

i don't know about his accuracy, but yes that's basically how i felt about it. it was half SAVE THE EARTH, which assuming he got things basically right needs to be said, and half a commercial for himself in case he wants to make another presidential run.
