"Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll do my best to write a post about it. Repost in your own journal [if you like] so that we can all learn more about each other."

later note- i don't think people got the point of this. you're all asking me my perspective on factual things, which is interesting and all, but it doesn't 'challenge me out of my comfort zone'. i wanted people to ask me things i am not comfortable talking about, to show me where my weak points are.

would make a lot of sense and make some things a lot simpler to discuss, if only there were a single study that supported it

i don't know a ton about cuba, really. and what i've read just confused me. i'll say that a) there's probably a good reason so many people are constantly risking their lives and leaving their families to flee here, and b) the us embargo has done a lot of damage and hurt a lot of people and accomplished basically nothing good.
as for fidel himself.. has there ever been a communist/socialist/whatever nation that didn't either start as or quickly become a cult of personality dictatorship? just one?

i'm sure we have them in one way or another, and they're probably doing all sorts of strange things to us we aren't aware of. but the sites/perfumes/etc claiming to have sexy pheromones are all bullshit. i guarantee 10 minutes after someone actually discovers an effective human sex pheromone and starts marketing it, the planet will devolve into a giant orgy for at least a good month
