victory!

hi

ok so my life this week-
wednesday was my thrilling world englishes poster project extravaganza. profuse thanks to mad for pimping out the info, i think 90% of what i ended up using came through you. when i get my digital camera (thursday!! tho i'll porbably get it friday, but itll be at my house thursday) i'll take a picture of the poster. but i dont recommend anyone looking at it cuz it sucks. kate came to the poster party and ate cookies instead of shrimp. her loss. we're gonna start working out and getting buff, itll be good. tues/thurs at 4.
when i got back from that, people were sitting around in the lounge waiting for gill to show up to go get sushi. ive never had, so i decided bah to fencing and went with them. we went to saki in portsmouth.. it wasnt bad. i enjoyed it, but it definitely did NOT live up to the hype
so speaking of fencing.. didnt go monday cuz i was (supposedly) doing poster things, and wednesday cuz i was eating raw fishies, which is somewhat less of an excuse (tho andy forgave me when i said i'd never had it before).. but anyway, the team is having issues right now. i only partially understand what everyone is bitching about, but pretty much i guess it comes down to some people want to WIN WIN WIN and some people want to actually enjoy themselves. but they do agree that these are mutually inexclusive goals. i dont buy that, but whatever
i assume i did something on thursday. oh yeah! trzaskoma gave his speech thing. i really wish he taught some class i woudlnt detest (ancient greek) so i could take it. but anyway, the main thing i got from that is being reminded that i have no goals in life and nothing i'm passionate about. those are Bad Things. so yeah, WSDD? (what should dan do)
friday i actually did go to fencing, and had quite a productive practice i think. my point control is HORRIBLE though. it was never spectacular, mind you, but damn has it dropped lately. boo. came back from fencing, nothing much to do so went over to stats to see who was working. ended up at the lee house and (ATTN: parents, don't read this part) got slightly drunk and more stoned. you know, health concerns aside, i could never be a habitual smoker of anything simply because it is fucking PAINFUL. my lungs burn. but the end result was lying on a couch for a few hours laughing at just about everything, which was fun. and carter meanwhile decided to take out all his rage (of whcih he is never in short supply) on one of those plastic pumpkin candy-container bag things. if youve never watched someone spend a half hour methodically beating the shit out of a piece of plastic, it's pretty funny. then i went to sleep on the couch, whcih my back spent all of saturday complaining about.
there was a show in the mub saturday- folk/ska. this resulted in a lot of frat kids standing around uneasily during the ska band (who was quite good, i thought), not sure what to do with themselves. granted, skanking is probably the stupidest thing someone can do in their life, but any other kind of dance to ska just looks bizarre somehow. not that i was dancing well, or at all, or anything. so theyve got me beat either way. but at least mike was there so we could talk and make fun of all the people we dont know. wait no, that's shitty. we're nice people.
then went to watch night of the living dead (the original) with kate and craig (yes?). despite being very dated, that was a great movie. i'd never seen it before
so there's all the unimportant details of what i've been doing the past few days. the important details, of course, are not diary-able. so, you missed it, sorry

i have a LOT of stuff i never use. cds, for instance, i have a ton of cds i dont listen to. i should get rid of it all.

it occurs to me, i meet my own definition of evil*: someone who violates their own moral principles.

this, of course, is not something that makes me particularly unique. it's still an upsetting thought though. i should stop doing that. hmm

*this isnt a black/white youre good or youre evil thing, i'll note, but more of a per action judgment. it's cumulative, yo
