today was a failure on pretty much every level. i woke up late, got up even later, sat around not doing very much when i should have been working, worked really slowly when i finally started (hence not getting my milton paper in on time, which is just laughable because its 5 pgs and she's the easiest grader ever. it should have taken 2 hrs tops, even with finding all the quotes. so i'll bring that to her tomorrow i guess). i didnt do any of the stuff i wanted to today -- aegis, theatersports, leave my room for more than food -- and now i get to be up forever doing my bio journal because i haven't touched it since mid semester and she never answered my email asking what time it's due tomorrow since class is cancelled, so i figure i should get it in to her sometime aroudn when class would have been so i don't have 2 late final thingys. on the plus side, after that all i have left is my bio paper monday and all done with this semester

good things about today: woodruff finally got its dvd player put in so i don't have to take over other people's rooms to watch movies, casey put on a good radio show and my request got on, and this link:

perhaps i shoudlnt be getting statistics from jokeaday, but evidently 60% of americans can't find iraq on a map. neither can 60% of iranians, who i would have expected to have an easier time of it. then again, it also says 11% of americans can't find the usa on a map.

i was surprised to find myself waking up from my nap; i had forgotten i was asleep.

my cranberry juice/fruit punch/iced tea drink has too much cranberry in it. ohso bitter

there's this girl on campus who looks like a damn skull. really deathly. it kinda creeps me out. i keep expecting her to start mumbling "brainsss" and attacking people.. actually, that would be kinda cool. i guess she's all right after all

got my essay portfolio back-- A on that, B for the class because i'm always late and incompetent. but yeah, she is thrilled with my essays and says to go talk to her about sending them out for publication. of course, she said the same thing after freshman comp and a) never got around to helping me out with that, and b) if she had, i would now be mortified, becuase pretty much everything i wrote for that class, in my 2 years hindsight, blows. not just the writing, which does, but the emotional content- i sound pathetic. so if something from just 2 years ago aged so badly for me, how am i going to commit to sending something out into eternal public view?
also the fact that theyre personal essays-- i don't mind the random people so much, but i dont know if i want people who know me and the situations reading some of those (ie, the good ones when i'm not just talking about killing a beetle or something).

TNH cut off the stirring conclusion to my letter! the jerks. i was gonna rouse the masses to action. well whatever, the idea got in (it's a letter about my donating meal plans thing). but dammit, the end was the good part. here, you can have it, livejournal, since htey don't want it:
Don't let extra meals go to waste. Don't let meal plans vanish at the end of the semester. Don't let your money disappear into the bowels of UNH Food Service. Get what you paid for, and put it to good use!

ah ren faire covers of barenaked ladies. this song is cute. ive had "do virgins taste better" for many moons, and i just today got a bunch more by them. theyre a fun band. and celtic music that doesnt bore me to tears, imagine!

you know.. gret swears a lot more than she used to. that's kinda funny, but in a way it's kinda sad too
