i hate everyone

bush won. kerry conceded.

"President Bush's decisive margin of victory makes this the first presidential election since 1988 in which the winner received a majority of the popular vote," said Card, referring to the White House victory by Bush's father, President George H.W. Bush. "And in this election, President Bush received more votes than any presidential candidate in our country's history."

so here are the numbers from strafford county, wherein dwells dover adn i believe unh as well:
Bush - 1,121 - 49%
Kerry - 1,121 - 50%
does anyone else see something odd about this?

according to CNN exit polls, 7% of republicans voted for kerry, while 10% of democrats voted for bush. let me repeat that: a higher percent of democrats voted for bush than republicans voted against him. this surprises me.

and now i go to a job interview at classy walmart.

so this'll be my last song about satan

"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job." -Douglas Adams (from kristen)
that actually is a pretty good point. let's go back to athens-style democracy, where all our government officials were chosen at random and could not turn down the appointment.

anyway though, barring litigation or nuclear strike, my last election-related blabbing will be to link you all to ashi's post. cuz you know what? being pretentious is hte new black
okay i'll link to llama's post too. kucinich was cute

phone conversation just now-

lady: the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask
dan: ah. well then, i have a brilliant question for you

last week, fiddling with my keyboard, i discovered that i do actually have a range where my singing is less shitty. it is very low though, so i think i'm only qualified to sing godsmack songs
