|01:34 pm - proof that punishment does NOT work as a crime deterrent|
executions and amputations, and the crimes are still committed. maybe they should try something else..
update: link was from mel. yay mel.

like rewarding them? bet they haven't tried that yet? *lol*
haha, not zactly what i was thinking. like reforming them in some fashion, instead of just crackign their head and sending them back out to commit more crimes
yeah, that might work even better than rewarding them.
i'm thinking so. tho, this reminds me of an idea i read about once, in an editorial or something: politicians should be paid more, to reduce the temptation to accept bribes.
as dilbert pointed out, by this theory criminals aren't bad, they're underpaid.
dilbert may be right about the criminals. i'm not sure about politicians being underpaid though. at least not where i live. there has never been once bribing scandal here. of course you'd have to bribe a lot of politicians here to get what you want.

HEY! Credit me with supplying you with said link, dammit!
on the contrary, if we kill everyone, then voila! no more crime. cept for zebras and bears, but they already have diplomatic immunity.
