Each of us is going to spend a whole lot more time being dead than being alive. Archimedes is supposed to have lived for 75 years, for example. That was supposedly more than 2000 years ago, so the poor chap has spent more than 96% of the time since he was born being dead. Some scientists think that the Universe is on the order of 10,000,000,000 years old, give or take a few years. Archimedes was dead for 99.99999925% of it. Think of everything he missed.

Interesting statement:"Each of us is going to spend a whole lot more time being dead than being alive" Taken out of context it makes you wonder how many of us have deadened ourselves to the world.
