|11:53 am - sunday, sunday, can't trust that day|
so i got an email saturday morning from mike hodgson. he was one of my best friends as a young dan, until junior high when he moved to new jersey and joined a funk band (and presumably did lots of other things, but that's how it goes in my head). so, email, he is in seattle for a few days and we should hang out, catch up. i was oddly nervous about this.
yesterday i went down to seattle and we met up, with his girlfriend along to laugh at our doofy memories. it was mildly awkward, but really good to see him again. it also reminded me what a terrible memory i have for life generally. i spent half the time staring blankly into space like "well i'm sure something interesting must've happened in the past 10 years"
then they had to get to the airport, so i went over to melley's, where i got dumped. then listened to her bicker with her roommate about sexism for an hour, sat in my car for another hour breaking down, then drove home and went to sleep.
np: from autumn to ashes - too bad you're beautiful - take her to the music store. shut up.

i'm sorry. when i visit we can get ice cream and sit in our pajamas and talk about our lost loves. and then we shall watch stupid sappy movies that make us cry and then we will watch angry movies that make us mad and then we will watch funny movies that make life all better. this is the process of emotion.
haha i love that everyone's solution involves icecream
since I've already given you my condolences, I'll try and help to jog your memory and tell you one of my favorites I have of you -
I remember when we first hung out for real...when you and I and Kevin and Hart went to see "The Butterfly Effect." I hated it with a freakin passion, and I remember saying during the credits, "Uhhh no movie can actually be *that* bad. Maybe Ashton's going to come on screen after the credits and just yell 'PUNK'D!'" And I remember how you laughed, and, at the time, I remember how it made me feel to make you laugh.
Aaaaaand then I dumped my popcorn on your head. I believe you kept the bucket in your car for awhile after that. Whether it was for sentimental reasons, or just because you're lazy, I don't know. But I always liked the fact that it was there.
i think he kept the popcorn container because you can get free refills! i remember going to the movies with woody once and he kept digging in the backseat of his car and i was like what the fuck are you doing and he's like, "free popcorn". so he brought this old decrepit popcorn container in to the movie theater and got new popcorn or maybe he couldn't find it or maybe i wouldn't let him bring it in, but it was AWESOME!
awww shit. and all this time I thought he was being either really sweet or really lazy. I guess he was just being really cheap!
haha sorry for the letdown
that was the first time we hung out? i thought we'd hung out on campus a few times before that or whatever. hmm.
but yes i do remember you saying we got punk'd (and then that we would randomly say that to each other all the time to be dicks. FRIENDSHIP PUNK'D). and as julie said, the bucket was in my car for free popcorn because i'm a scumbag. :)

Someone dared to dump YOU? Are they an idiot? Would you like for me to tie them up and leave them that way until they un-dump you?
I love you, Dannard.
um no i don't think tying her up will be necesary. she might be into it, anyways
