I'm terribly sorry. Of course, I didn't see this until Sunday morning at 6 a.m. I obviously won't go up for שבעה as I didn't know the gentleman. Did the חברה קדישא already arrange all of the family's meals for שבעה, or could I contribute in that way?

uhh jess you realize i don't speak hebrew, right? i assume you are talking about sitting shiva; my uncle was the only really observant one in the family, so it's going to be a bit of a half-assed observance, sporadically over the next few days. food is all taken care of tho, thank you

I'm terribly sorry. I was just doing the traditional thing, I wasn't trying to make you upset. :( Yes, I was referring to the custom that non-mourners bring food so that the mourners need not worry about feeding themselves while sitting shiva.
The Hebrew words were, "May the Place comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem."
I wrote a condolence note (in English, no worries) to your mum, but I haven't her address — I don't know the street and number in Manchvegas. As for you, if there's anything you want or need, please, let me know.
