07:59 pm - inter-network adventures
first, flickr has just restricted my account, based on an anonymous complaint. they didn't bother to tell me what the complaint WAS, of course, simply that if i did whatever it is they think i did again, my account would be terminated. dan is unamused.
on the plus side, i got to send a pissy email response, and i do love to get all self-righteous.

second, the main dude of david & the citizens posted my cover of his song on his blog!
according to google translate, this is what he has to say:

Browse inter-network and found these two very different versions of Now She Sleeps In A Box In the Good Soil Of Denmark. There is no further sound quality on any of them, but it is still very cool to know that there are people out there on the other side of the globe who have listened to my music and also took the time to do something with it.
Ok, maybe more heart than know-how from time to time, but it warms.

i assume 'no further sound quality' refers to the rather unlistenable recording quality of the other video he links, and that 'more heart than know-how' refers to my caterwauling.

dan the offensive internet rockstar

(3 shots upside the head | en garde!)

the only nudity i can think of is this fine fellow: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kingnixon/1574875648/
but there is nothing remotely sexual about it. if any nudity itself is bad now, that's as tenuous as when livejournal tried to ban pictures of breastfeeding.

i suppose i have some pictures that might bother some people, but there's nothing that strikes me as BAD. the thing that bugs me about this is that the way their terms of use are set, any person finding anything offensive about any picture you have is enough to get you restricted. if another person finds anything offensive, you are banned. there doesn't seem to be any criteria given. if i don't like pictures of sandwiches for some reason, i can go around getting people restricted if they have sandwich pictures. they just censor anything that anyone doesn't like.
